About Diane

Diane Mierzwik Diane Mierzwik’s newest book, “Weekly Affirmations for Pre-Menopausal Women,” is a memoir of sorts. Overwhelmed by so many self-help books and unable to commit to daily affirmations, Diane wrote her own reasonable and doable weekly affirmations. Filled with anecdotes illustrating the ups and downs of every woman’s life and a woman’s ability to grow and learn from all experiences, this memoir is part self-help, part ha-ha and part ah-ha.

Diane’s other books include “Quick and Easy Ways to Connect With Students and Their Parents: Improving Student Achievement Through Parental Involvement” and “Classroom Record Keeping Made Simple: Tips for the Time-strapped Teacher,” both available from Corwin Press, and “Wishes in the Field,” a middle grade historical fiction novel.

Diane completed the Inland Empire Writing Project and served as a Language Arts consultant for the California Language Arts Project. She is a project coordinator for Parolee Education in California. In her eighteen years of teaching, she has had experience with first through twelfth graders. She has been Gifted and Talented Education coordinator, Leadership team member, Department Head and mentor teacher.

Diane speaks regularly to student teachers. She has presented at the Teacher Educator Conference and at the California Teacher Association conference.

Diane is also the founder of the Writers’ Gallery, a storefront artistic space for writers and other creative people in Yucaipa, California.
